Harm Minimisation Posters

You are legally required to display harm minimisation signage in your venue that is clearly visible to all players. By displaying at least one of these posters in the gambling area you will meet that requirement. These messages are particularly relevant to gamblers experiencing a high degree of harm. We recommend different versions, as people experiencing harm often relate to different messages.

Please place at least one of these posters in your gaming area. It is recommended that you also position posters in the bathrooms, beside an ATM machine and/or near an outside smoking area.

"Spending more on pokies" Wallet Leaflet

This discreet wallet-sized leaflet is designed for gamblers who may be experiencing harm. Venues are legally required to provide information about the odds of winning and the characteristics of gambling harm. These leaflets meet this requirement.

These leaflets should be placed in the gambling area for gamblers to pick up and/or beside the bar – that way staff can hand a copy to patrons who show signs of harmful gambling. Also place them in the bathrooms. Venues have reported that leaflets are popular in bathrooms because patrons can pick them up discreetly when no one is watching.
